Boulder logo design and branding specialist throws a spotlight on the question…
“Is it time to brand or rebrand?”
A defined brand is essential to attract and keep customers. While the logo is a major component of your brand, your brand’s personality is what sets the stage for your customers and separates your business from competitors.
Does your brand have a personality? Let’s find out. Think of your business as a person. Describe this person in three or four descriptive keywords. Select words that are truly unique to your business. At the same time, avoid words such as “professional, experienced, and reliable” Why? These words are prerequisites for all successful and well-liked businesses.
Step 1: Define your brand personality.
List three to four descriptive keywords that best represent your business.
1.
2.
3.
4.
Step 2: Evaluate your existing brand.
Gather all of your marketing collateral (ads, brochure, business card, website, etc.). Does your marketing reflect your brand personality? If not, then rebranding your business is worth considering.
Step 3: Evaluate your existing customers or clients.
Are you attracting the customers you want? The fastest way to attract customers is to visually speak to them through your marketing collateral. If your ideal customers are not contacting you perhaps it is time to own the collateral that will woo your people.
Step 4: Are you ready to brand or rebrand?
This can be an uneasy thought. For most, the most common concerns are cost or change. Thankfully, there’s no risk in exploring your branding possibilities. Most reputable design firms offer a complimentary consultation. Why not take advantage of this? Receiving guidance and pricing from two or three design firms should help you understand who’s the best fit for your business needs. Unless you take the initiative to inquire, you may be depriving your business’s appeal and bottom line.
